Most sexually transmitted infections cause no symptoms whatsoever. That is the entire reason testing exists — and it is why a normal-feeling body is not evidence of anything.
Standard GP consultations are bulk billed for everyone with a valid Medicare card.Sexual health care here covers testing for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, HIV, hepatitis B and C, plus contraception, emergency contraception, vaccination, and any symptom you are worried about. Most testing is a urine sample, a blood test, or a swab you can often take yourself.
Chlamydia is the most commonly notified sexually transmissible infection in Australia and most people who have it have no idea. Untreated it can affect fertility. It is also cured with a short course of antibiotics, which is a good reason to find it early.

Common with both infections and urinary problems. Worth distinguishing.

New pain, particularly with discharge or fever, needs checking.
Especially with fever — pelvic infection needs prompt treatment to protect fertility.
Often not an infection at all, but worth sorting rather than self-treating repeatedly.
Sudden severe testicular pain is an emergency, not a wait-and-see.
